Downloading and installing Lingofy for Google Chrome

Installing Lingofy

To install Lingofy, you must be connected to the Internet.

To launch the installer, click on the arrow and choose Open.


Important note 2: Depending on your settings, it is possible that Windows SmartScreen might flag Lingofy. If you see this screen:


Click More Info. In the ensuing dialog, click Run Anyway.


If prompted by Windows User Account Control, click Yes.

Installing Lingofy

After you click Yes in the User Account Control window, follow the prompts through the installation process as shown:


After clicking Next, be sure to read and agree to the Terms of Service. Click the check box next to “I Agree” and then click Next to continue:


You may then choose which browser(s) in which to install Lingofy:


Check all that apply to you. Click OK. You will then be connected to the installation server:


And the installation process will begin. Click Next when prompted:


If Chrome is still running, you will be prompted to close it:


If you chose to install in other browsers and those browsers are running, you will be prompted to close those browsers at the approrpiate points in the installation process.


When you click Finish, Chrome will relaunch. To complete the installation process, enable the Lingofy Extension in Chrome.

Enabling the extension

The Chrome menu in the upper right-hand corner of the browser toolbar will change color. Click on the menu:


and click on New extension added (Lingofy) as shown.

In the ensuing prompt, you will be advised of the permissions granted to Lingofy:


Click Enable Extension to continue. The installation is complete when the Lingofy splash screen appears and then disappears at the bottom right of the browser:


A new browser tab or window will open to the Lingofy Start page. Follow the instructions on that page to get started with Lingofy.
