Downloading and installing Lingofy for Google Chrome

Installing Lingofy

To install Lingofy, you must be connected to the Internet. To launch the installer, click on the arrow and choose Open.

Important note: Depending on your settings, it is possible that Windows SmartScreen might flag Lingofy. If you see this screen:

Click More Info. In the ensuing dialog, click Run Anyway.

If prompted by Windows User Account Control, click Yes.

Installing Lingofy

After you click Yes in the User Account Control window, follow the prompts through the installation process as shown. Log into Lingofy using the email and password you provided when you signed up:

Upon a successful login, a splash screen will appear at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen showing the progress of the installation:

If a browser or Microsoft Office program is still running, you’ll be prompted to close it:

Click OK to continue. When the installation process is complete, you’ll see the following window, listing the applications which your version of Lingofy is able to access.

After you click OK, Lingofy will relaunch Chrome and direct to you the Lingofy Start page, which will lead you through the steps to complete the installation and provide a brief Lingofy tutorial.

To complete the installation process, enable the Lingofy Extension in Chrome.

Enabling the extension

The Chrome menu in the upper right-hand corner of the browser toolbar will change color. Click on the menu:

and click on New extension added (Lingofy) as shown. In the ensuing prompt, you will be advised of the permissions granted to Lingofy:

Click Enable Extension to continue.
