Downloading the installer
To install Lingofy, you must be connected to the Internet.
After clicking Download, Firefox will prompt you to save the file. Click Save File.
Firefox will then download the installer to your Downloads folder. When it is finished, the Download arrow in the Firefox toolbar will turn green.
Click on the green arrow to continue:
Then click on Lingofy.exe in the Downloads menu to start the installation process.
Important note: Depending on your settings, it is possible that Windows SmartScreen might flag Lingofy. If you see this screen:
Click More Info. In the ensuing dialog, click Run Anyway.
If prompted by Windows User Account Control, click Yes.
After you click Yes in the User Account Control window, follow the prompts through the installation process as shown:
After clicking Next, be sure to read and agree to the Terms of Service. Click the check box next to “I Agree” and then click Next to continue:
You may then choose which browser(s) in which to install Lingofy:
Check all that apply to you. Click OK. You will then be connected to the installation server:
And the installation process will begin. Click Next when prompted:
If Firefox is still running, you will be prompted to close it:
If you chose to install in other browsers and those browsers are running, you will be prompted to close those browsers at the approrpiate points in the installation process.
When you click Finish, Firefox will relaunch. To complete the installation process, enable the Lingofy Extension in Firefox.
Enabling the extension
When Firefox relaunches, it will redirect to this page:
Check the box next to “Allow this installation” and click Continue.
Click Restart Firefox to finish the installation.
Firefox will restart and the Lingofy splash screen will appear and then disappear at the bottom right of the browser:
A new browser tab or window will open to the Lingofy Start page. Follow the instructions on that page to get started with Lingofy.
